Land property

The foundation is owner of about 115 hectares of land. The largest part is agricultural land, grass land, garden land, gas exploration land or land for lease hold (Erbbaupacht). Land lease, hunting ground lease and sales of transfer rights are the main sources of income of the foundation.

The foundation continually buys more land within her financial means. Generally, the foundation pays out one third of her income as scholarship grants. The cost of administration ought to be well below one third of income. The remaining funds are accumulated for land purchase.
